After saving a congressmen Cap is offered a most important proposition. The Populous Party wants Cap to run for President. That offer cause much discussion with not only the American people, but his fellow super-heroes.

Roger Stern writes about the origin of this story in the letters column. It evolved from an idea in which Cap would have actually been elected president for four years. The story was scrapped because it would have taken the Marvel world too far from the real world.
