Inferno (Marvel)

Synopsis:
The start of the Inferno x-over is here. Issue begins with N'astirh and his demon followers attacking S'ym the ruler of Limbo. S'ym is victorious and orders N'astirh to journey to earth and capture 13 infants with powers. Meanwhile we find the X-Factor children parting ways. Rusty Collins is turning himself in to the authorities after his accident way back in XF#1. Artie and Leech arrive with Jean Grey at St. Simons school, there new home. Introduced here is Wiz Kid, who has the abilities to alter objects at will. The rest of the XF kids (Skids, Boom Boom, and Rictor) are relocating to Philips Academy and are accompanied with Iceman. Artie and Leech have made friends with Wiz Kid. While sleeping N'astirh's goblins enter the school to capture Artie and Leetch. Wiz Kid is to late in saving them and begins to discover his mutant abilities. He seeks the aid of the XF kids at the academy and together break Rusty from his federal prison. They escape and now begin the search for Artie and Leech. This leads into X-Terminators #2.

Notes:
EC Comics publisher William Gaines makes a cameo wearing a Mad Magazine shirt and holding a Tales From The Crypt comic. In the next panel is a gravestone marked Frederick Wertham. Frederick Wertham is the man who blamed comics for juvenile delinquency and effectively shut down EC's horror comics.
