K'Kruhk was a Whiphid Jedi during the waning days of the Old Republic. He matured into an introspective Jedi Knight and soon became a Jedi Master.

He was apprenticed to Jedi Master Lilit Twoseas. Both were members of a Jedi volunteer task force led by Master Mace Windu during the Yinchorri War. Near the end of conflict, when the Jedi task force were desperately trying to extricate themselves from the battle, K'Kruhk was almost killed by Yinchorri warriors but his master, Lilit, saved him by putting herself between the attackers and her padawan. Mortally wounded, Lilit Twoseas was among the Jedi casualites of that brief but brutal conflict. It is not clear which Master took over K'Kruhk's training, but it seems that witnessing the death of his master had affected his perception on the fourth precept of the Jedi Code ("...there is no death, there is only the Force...").

Initially during the Clone Wars, K'Kruhk led a battalion of Clone troopers on the world of Teyr. But seeing the destruction and the seeming casual disregard of lives, K'Kruhk's conviction was shaken. He later withdraw from active service, in effect rebelling from the established policies of the Jedi Council. But a parley with Master Windu, and the exposed intentions of Sora Bulq, the fallen Jedi who approached him, helped K'Kruhk return to active service in the Order.

During the Battle of Hypori, K'Kruhk was one of the Jedi to go. When General Grievous and the droid armies shot down the Republic Gunship and almost destroyed all the Jedi on the mission, he was one of the few survivors. The others were Ki-Adi-Mundi, Shaak Ti, and Aayla Secura. The remaining Jedi went into hiding. Soon Grievous found the Jedi and supposedly killed K'Kruhk. However, a while after the Battle of Hypori, he recovered from his wounds, thanks to the Whiphid ability to go into a coma-like state to recover from severe injuries.

K'Kruhk survived the Jedi Purge, and at some point joined the new Jedi order that was founded by Luke Skywalker. He had a hand in training Cade Skywalker and survived yet another Jedi Purge.
