Lissa Russell

Search for 'Lissa Russell' on Amazon

In her human form, Lissa possessed absolutely no super human powers at all. In her werewolf/demon hybrid form, Lissa possessed all the characteristics and attributes of a typical werewolf (sharp claws and teeth, a tail, some degree of superhuman strength, enhanced speed and enhanced senses and rapid regenerative abilities) as well as some demonic powers as well (she was at least able to shoot flames from her eyes in her hybrid form).

In her werewolf/demon hybrid state, Lissa possessed the typical weaknesses attributed to werewolves. This includes the vulnerability to silver which can cause great damage (that werewolves cannot heal as quickly from) and death (fatal wounds from silver weapons are the surest way to kill a werewolf).

Lissa Russell is the sister of Jack Russell, also known as Werewolf by Night. The two lived fairly intertwined lives as Jack first discovered he was cursed with lycanthropy on his 18th birthday while Lissa was still a couple of years younger.

Lissa's worst fears briefly came true when it was discovered that she too has inherited lycanthropy from her family heritage, however, thanks to a battle between Doctor Glitternight, Topaz and Taboo, Lissa was bathed in moonlight and Doctor Glitternight's dark light on the first full moon after her 18th birthday which ended up turning her into something more like a Were-Demon than anything else. Part werewolf and part demon.

Doctor Glitternight, on the second full moon of the month, stole Lissa's soul, effectively making Lissa a slave to him. The fragment of Taboo's soul that was present sacrificed itself (the physical Taboo had died months earlier) and gave itself over to Lissa, restoring her soul and effectively curing her of the beast she had become as well as the curse of lycanthropy, although she would still pass it down to her children.
